Environmental Permitting for Industrial Property Development

Sierra Pacific Industries is in the process of developing industrial lands adjacent to two of their existing lumber manufacturing facilities in Skagit and Grays Harbor counties in Washington. Mike McDowell, Principal Aquatic Scientist, is serving as the Lead Consultant for site critical areas studies, wetland mitigation planning, environmental review, and local, state, and federal environmental permitting for the properties. Permitting support for development efforts has included wetland delineations and critical areas studies, preparation of SEPA checklists and JARPA applications to support the proposed developments, cultural resource studies, wetland mitigation planning and strategy development, and permitting coordination and management for local, state, and federal permits. Sierra Pacific Industries is benefiting from a unified approach to wetland mitigation. This approach provides a combination of on-site and off-site mitigation that supports the development of their properties and also provides a cost-effective and ecologically beneficial solution to wetland impacts.
