Regulatory Compliance and Permitting for Shellfish Aquaculture

Cherry Creek Environmental staff have provided regulatory compliance and permitting strategies; developed biological assessments, habitat plans, and permitting documents; researched shellfish ecology; and developed study designs for a wide range of shellfish aquaculture projects.

Chris Cziesla, Principal Fisheries Biologist, has worked with shellfish growers for many years on both individual projects and programmatic efforts. By facilitating a comprehensive dialogue on the scientific issues, Chris’s work has improved both the operational flexibility and environmental outcomes of shellfish aquaculture.
